On Tuesday 22 May, over 60 educators from ten schools in our Kahui Ako came together to learn more about mindfulness. The presentation was led by three teachers from Waimea College, Tim Wright, Jayne Keys and Llywelyn Adlam who shared their inquiry. Their work reinforced our themes of “building relationships” and “well-being”. They discussed their evidence based reasons for starting their inquiry as well as the health benefits for teachers and students when practicing it. “Try, Fail, Start Again”, is a wise mantra for no matter what we take part in in our busy lives.
